5 Stars Captin Underpants
My 7 1/2 year old son LOVES these books. They are sort of like a comic book and the topics are a bit silly but he will pick them up and read them without me asking – that is a big deal!

5 Stars Awesome Experience
My son, at 8, LOVES the Capt. Underpants series, and was so excited when the book arrived. Arrived promptly, mint condition, and service was great.

5 Stars Captain Underpants
These books are great for children. I bought this for my grandson who loves this type of humor. I’ve ordered all of them I believe. And he is in the first grade, and is starting to try to read them himself. This is

juvenile humor. I can read these things, but it is so silly. However, it makes him laugh so much, and the activities keep him engrosed for awhile.

I would highly recommend this just based on my grandson’s response.

5 Stars A bit hit for a 7 year old!
We bought these and other Captain Underpants for our 7 year old grandson. They are his favorite books and prefers the softcover to hardcover so that he can take them anywhere to continue reading!

5 Stars Great for boys
We love Dav Pilkey and all his characters: Captain Underpants, the Dumb Bunnies, Ricky! They are fun to read and short enough to provide your kid a sense of accomplishment by finishing a chapter book.

5 Stars class of ‘70
My 8 year old grandson loved this book set; one of his favorite Christmas gifts! I rated this 5 stars because of his reaction. However, I don’t care for the writing style, a lot of intentionally misspelled words; that said, I am a firm believer that if the books give children a desire to read, then that overrides my preference to have all of the words spelled correctly!

5 Stars Captain Underpants Wipes Out the Competition
My son, Jacob (age 7.5) has just finished reading Vol. 8, “Captain Underpants and the Preposterous Plight of the Purple Potty People” to me out loud. It is the latest and last (so far) in the Captain Underpants series. The author and illustrator, Dav Pilkey, is an awesome talent. All the C.U. books contain sci-fi adventure built for children and are filled with super power juice, hypno-rings, time travel, alternate universes, evil teachers and principals, grandparents, robots and so on. They are also filled with humor (most of it, despite the titles, in exceedingly good taste) that appeals to the kids as well as to their parents (mean teacher Miss Anthrope), albeit perhaps at different levels. I laughed out loud consistently as my son read these to me. The dialog is snappy and cute, as are the illustrations and the books within books (comics drawn by the main characters, Harold and George complete with little kid illustrations and misspellings) that punctuate all the entries in the series.

A reasonable reading skill level (2 grade and above) is required for these and they are definitely better read BY children than TO children but are as enjoyable to adults as to their kids. These are great. Highly recommended.

5 Stars Stupid Stinkbug from Saturn – Ricky Robot Series
Great series for beginner chapter book readers. The flip-book exercise is so much fun to do, too.

5 Stars GREAT Book!
My son is 7 years old and absolutely loves these books. When he started reading this series we took turns reading (he would read two pages and I would read one page). He enjoys Ricky and his robot so much that he will just pick up the book and read alone. This is a great series to get boys interested in reading. Dav Pilkey is one of my son’s favorite authors thanks to Captain Underpants and Ricky Ricotta.

1 Star Phallic Stinkbugs
Take a good look at the stinkbugs’ nose and cheeks. C’mon, that’s no accident. Are the genitalia-as-face illustrations just part of the farty fun that appeals to this audience, or is it a sinister subliminal message? Silly or inappropriate? Whether the illustrations cause you to take offence or get your chuckles, don’t pretend those aren’t phalluses swinging about in the Flip-o-rama!

5 Stars Like this series of books
My, almost 7 year old, was having trouble reading this summer. Basically, he wanted nothing to do with it. Then, someone recommended this series of Ricky Ricotta’s books and he finished 2 books in one week!

I highly recommend for any student who would rather be on the computer in or front of the t.v. The pictures keep them engaged, as well as the short chapters and funny titles.

5 Stars AWESOME!!!
I am a second grade boy. I like to read books about battles. One of my favorite series of books are Ricky Ricotta and I have all in the collection. I like the pictures and the flip-o-rama. These books are easy to read. I like the stupid stinkbugs because they look cool and the book shows you how to draw them.

4 Stars Dumb Bunnies
My son really likes Dav Pilkey books. This set is no exception. They are very short cute books. I only wish they were a little longer.

4 Stars Very Small
These books are extremely funny and my 7-year old daughter loves reading them. My only problem with this product is the size. I purchased the Dumb Bunnies Easter from a book store and the book was much larger than the books in this set.

5 Stars Great for boys
We love Dav Pilkey and all his characters: Captain Underpants, the Dumb Bunnies, Ricky! They are fun to read and short enough to provide your kid a sense of accomplishment by finishing a chapter book.

5 Stars Dumb Bunnies
My son absolutely loves this author and I wanted to get some books he and his younger sister could enjoy together. They love this series! My son even took them to school and his teacher read the entire series to the class, all the kids loved it. Some potty humor, yes, but irreverent and innocent as well!

5 Stars Sons loved it.
Very silly and fun four book trilogy. If you like the humor in Amelia Bedelia and you don’t mind mildly crude humor, you will probably like this humor too.
